When in the USA, do not:
  • Address service people with disrespect or impoliteness
  • Fail to use “please” and “thank you” when giving instructions to subordinates
  • Do anything that might be misinterpreted as sexual harassment
  • Boast about your accomplishments and achievements, salary, income or belongings
  • Ask anyone’s income
  • Cut in on a queue
  • Stare
  • Stand too close to someone you’re speaking with, lest you impose on their sense of personal space
