Business cards may be exchanged at the initial introduction or at the end of the meeting.
The business card may be put away with only a cursory glance.
It is not considered a breach of etiquette to keep business cards in a pocket.
Business cards should be kept clean and in good condition.
Business Attire
In traditional companies business attire is conservative. Men generally wear business suits and ties; women wear either a business suit, trouser suit, or a dress.
Dark-coloured (black, dark blue, or charcoal gray) or pinstriped suits are the most commonly worn.
Men should avoid putting anything other than an ornamental silk handkerchief in their jacket pocket.
Although name brands are not important, quality is.
Check with the organisation to see if it has more casual dress standards. Many companies have adopted "dress down" Friday, where smart casual clothing is worn.
