Business breakfasts are becoming more common in London and some other large cities.
Business may be discussed at breakfast or lunch. It is a good idea to wait for your British colleagues to raise the subject.
Business meals are also used to develop a sense of trust and to learn something about the other person.
Business dinners are more social- than business-oriented.
The person extending the invitation usually expects to pay.
Business entertaining may include weekends at country houses, sightseeing tours, sporting events, or the theatre.
Spouses may be included in evening business entertainment. If so, business is not usually discussed.
You may be invited to the pub for an hour or so after work. If so, business is generally not discussed. If you go, make sure you pay for your round of drinks.
